In 2004, Parrish Medical Center proudly became the first health system in Brevard and third in the state of Florida, to earn The Joint Commission’s Primary Stroke Center Certification. Every two years since 2004, The Joint Commission has evaluated and recertified Parrish Medical Center as a Primary Stroke Center. Primary Stroke Certification recognizes healthcare organizations committed to striving for excellence and fostering continuous improvement in patient safety and quality of care.
